At SEQST, we source the best products in Australia and seek out hard-to-find items not available here from around the world.
One product we sell well is Laserboard, made in the USA by PolyBAK. PolyBAK will not sell this product directly, so we have to hunt for suppliers. The suppliers we found had a very limited selection of Laserboard, so this means more than one supplier and different prices. Eventually, we found suppliers in the US and Europe, but none would ship directly to Australia. Our next challenge was to find freight forwarders that would send small amounts of 20 to 30 kg to Australia. This also applies to anything we purchase from suppliers overseas. Retailers are willing to send directly, but this makes the effort non-profitable. Because suppliers are busy, many, but not all, would rather turn down a sale than waste time finding overseas carriers.
As we cut our own acrylic and plywood, it could be any size, but we have found that many model makers prefer sizes of 600 x 300mm and under. Should you like another size, please let us know.
